...Fran Soler & Ben Albertson spent years on the road catering for music
tours - Coldplay, Celine Dion, The Police, Justin Timberlake, Norah Jones, Willie Nelson, Snow Patrol, Razorlight, Belle & Sebastian, Foo Fighters, Joan Baez, and Muse - to name just a few - and working on numerous large events and festivals, before establishing Egg and Spoon. We regularly work with other event companies and have our own fantastic team of chefs who are available for teaching, cookery demonstrations, corporate team building exercises, recipe writing, food styling and consultancy.
We don’t make a song & dance about our local, seasonal & green credentials - it’s just how we do things anyway. But…. Our menus reflect the seasons and availability of produce. We love Sussex cheeses and they feature heavily in our menus and cheese boards. All our eggs in every dish come from happy, free-range chickens. We can see our fish supplier from our kitchen window & they in turn set sail from the harbour opposite. And our ice cream is made specially for us in the kitchen next door !
